We care about you and your child. We strive to always improve and provide the best learning environment possible by making sure our children are safe, have quality child care, enjoy learning and feel loved!
Our goal is to encourage each child to grow socially, physically, and intellectually. The early years of a child's life are important in developing skills for understanding the concepts of language, art, math, science, and reading, as well as their motor skills. This is critical for later success in life as an adult.
Our infant program is designed to create a happy transition within our safe and friendly classrooms. Our infant classrooms are arranged to create an open exploration area for play with safety flooring for all stages of development. We strongly emphasize the importance of maintaining a clean learning environment. Our classrooms are equipped with cribs, and diaper and feeding areas. Our nurturing and experienced teachers create learning experiences focused on your child´s unique individual needs and developmental level.
Our routines include experiences in a classroom filled with developmentally appropriate manipulatives and materials that enhance each developmental stage. Our toddler program embraces our busy little learners and focus their energy into learning experiences that will help them grow and learn in a nurturing environment. Lesson plans are customized to the unique needs and strengths of the children. We also have collaborative learning in a comprehensive program focused on the cognitive, language, physical, social and emotional development.
Our preschool program instills confidence and the love of learning. Teachers thoughtfully interact with the children and plan experiences that support all the content areas taught, such as literacy, mathematics, science, social studies, and the arts. Your child will be exposed to interactive, hands on experiences that encourage independence, creative thinking, problem solving and language development. Fundamental learning skills such as pre-reading, pre-writing and pre-math skills are also incorporated in every lesson throughout the day.
Our center creates a learning atmosphere ideal for early childhood education. We offer age specific classrooms that foster exploration, investigation, problem solving and discovery.
WWJD Youth Outreach Ministry, Inc., a nonprofit organization, was established in 1998 in the home of Rev. Hazel and Lonnie Young. In 2013, the Little Leaders Learning Academy was established to provide a stimulating and safe environment for children in the community. It provides a fun, affordable alternative daycare with the best quality you can find in the area. We seek to stimulate and develop children’s problem-solving and reactive thinking skills through staff and child directed activities in our daily agenda.
As the old African proverb states, “it takes a village to raise a child’, we too recognize that we need the support of our local community including businesses, churches, organizations, and committed individuals such as you, to help provide the basic needs of our children.
We will strive to meet the needs of all students by encouraging them to believe in themselves, gaining self-confidence to excel and achieve their maximum learning potential.
